My opinions on Eurovision

• I like following and watching the festival because I enjoy the musical and human diversity.
• I like when countries sing in their languages and bring their folk vibes with their songs.
• I’d like more vocals and human stuff on stage and less digitalities. But it’s fine.

But let’s get political here:

• Countries often showing predilection for their neighbours is fine, as I believe the cultural proximity / similarity favors what people know or can relate to. Yet, from time to time some songs stand out for a variety of reasons, even if they come from less popular countries. I find this mildly but not blatantly unfair.
• I’d like more countries to participate, and those that withdrew to come back.
  • Australia is nice. Let’s share the love.
• Israel should be kicked out of the festival.
  • Israel tampering with votes should not be allowed.
  • The voting system is desigend on purpose to allow this.
  • The European Broadcasting Union is actively punishing anti-Israel expressions, which are otherwise legit due to the genocide.
• Russia should be kept out of the festival.
• Joost Klein (Netherlands artist in 2024) should not have been disqualified.
